Clements in Cayo Coco Cuba

The Pickering/Burlington Clement crew spent a wonderful week in beautiful Cayo Coco at the Tryp hotel.

We spent lots of time on the beach and even more in the pools. The hotel's pools were very kid friendly, and they even had one that was only about a foot deep. Ethan, Emma and a mix of British and Canadian kids had a blast goofing around the pools for hours. Ethan and Emma enjoyed going to the bar in the pool for one kind of a drink, and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed another kind of drink or two.

The food at the buffet was alright, and the individual restaurants that we went to were very nice. Our room was in the furthest possible building from the main part of the resort. This met our need for quiet during nap times and bedtime, but made Jill and Aaron triple check that everything was in the travel bag before we set out to the beach or the pool.

Jill and Emma both got their hair braided, and for a small bribe, Aaron has pictures of Emma and Jill when they took their braids out...hiiiilarious (to Aaron at least). Aaron rented a scooter during nap time one day and took off in search of some wildlife. All he found was a swarm of 2 million Cuban mosquitoes. Ethan had a blast on the scooter too. Also, we all went horseback riding and had fun riding along the ocean.

In the evenings there were kid discos where the kids would all go up on stage to dance, or sing a song, or play a game. Emma danced her heart out and was a crowd favourite, while Ethan did his best to ignore his inherited inhibitions.

Enough yapping, enjoy the pics...

Well THAT looks like fun. The beach looks pretty deserted too!

I can't believe Emma sat for the braiding! Must have been a very fast and gentle "hairstylist". I love Emma's hat too, so cute!

Wow! looks like a hoot for all involved. Had I known you were going to Cuba, I would have had your kids being cigar mules for me.
Great pics.
