Loving The White Stuff!

Ah, what a day. We start the day with the looming threat of the "Worst Storm of the Season", and then at 11am discover that there has been a freight train derailment in Pickering. Relief is upon us when we discover (in addition to there being no injuries) that it actually took place just AFTER our beloved Pickering station, thus having no impact on our commute home. Whew. Then the storm begins, but alas our train is on time. But the fun is just beginning ... Aaron tells me as we're boarding the train that he is on the verge of throwing up "but it's okay because I have a bag". That's great dear, thanks for sharing. Fortunately the train ride (positioned just outside the lovely washroom) was uneventful and we made it to Pickering pukeless.

Of course because of the hoopla surrounding this Storm of the Season, everyone decided to take the early train, and the parking lot is emptying all at the same time! What normally takes us about 5-7 minutes took us about 25!

While finally leaving the parking lot, I get a call from a desperate parent of one of Ethan & Emma's friends, explaining that they are stuck in downtown Toronto and would we be able to pick them up at the daycare? Jill being the ever-so-helpful person she is, agrees, thinking it will be fun for the kids ... forgetting of course that her husband will be useless in this venture, as he is on the verge of spewing his cookies.

So first I drop off puke-boy at the house, then pick up Ethan & Emma at the daycare, bring them back to puke-boy at the house, return to daycare to pick up Connie & Jillie (we only own 2 carseats, so repeat trips were necessary). Upon returning to the house I start supper, with kids (now 2 3yr-olds and 2 5yr-olds) running around hungry tearing up the joint, with ever-so-helpful puke-boy upstairs in our bedroom.

Jillie decides to drop a bomb in her underwear, so with pancakes burning, I took care of that incident. Then dinner is finally served and of course there is an accident and red juice is all over Jillie's pants. Needless to say, Jillie went home in a pair of Emma's underwear and pants.

Surprisingly, this only spanned a period of about 90minutes but in conclusion ... thank goodness we stopped at TWO kids! :-)

Oh yah, and then once Emma & Ethan were in bed I had to take care of puke-boy's task of shovelling the driveway and sidewalks. So help me if I've pulled something, puke-boy is going to pay!

Hope puke-boy is feeling better, and realizes what an amazing wife he has! I am assuming the "Jillie" that dropped that bomb was the child "Jillie" and not the adult "Jillie"! Sounds like a fun night!

Puke-boy is now back at 95% and is very grateful for out-of-commission-twisted-neck-girl's contributions during my absense.

Twisted-neck-girl's absense was not as great as puke-boy's was, but it did happen nonetheless.

And then you got up and went to work the next day? So I guess with selling the house, tending a mess o' chitlins, maintaining a full-time job and house - not to mention a vomitatious spouse... that you currently have a stress-free life? Just wondering.
