Step One of my three-step plan was completed this morning. I am now the director of a numbered company. I filled out the form, laid out the 360 smackers, and now I'm Inc. No fancy names like Numbnuts Inc., or S uperior H ighly I nnovative T echnologies Inc. Just a numbered company.
Step two for you curious folks is the accounting stuff, and step three is the acceptance of a high paying contract as a Business Analyst. That's what I do as a full timer now by the way, but this way I'll make more money as an independent contractor, have the chance to take some time off between contracts, and perhaps enjoy what I do during the daylight hours!

A business analyst, eh? Cool. I hope it works for you. Self employment can get you a crap load of free time or turn you into a workaholic. Your challenge is to be in the former camp.
