Just a quick post here to try to catchup on some great postable pics and events. This will be brief ... bear with me ...
Dec 8th ~ Christmas Tree Cutting. The fastest in the history of either Clement or McCrea Christmas Tree cutting excursions. Unbelieveable. The tree was chosen from INSIDE the van. That's right, we didn't even have to get out of the van. Of course we had to let the kids run around and take some pics, so that's what we did. In & out of the lot in under 15 minutes. Amazing I know.

Dec 9th ~ Tobagganing with Mark and the Boys (Krista was sick). Lots of fun. This was just at the end of our street where we have spent HOURS so far this winter. And being dumped on last night allowed more HOURS of fun today! Here are some pics with Mark, Wil & Max. First we have the 3 of them going down (on a large sheet of heavy plastic - Aaron's idea) along with Aaron Ethan & Emma. At the top of the hill ...

...And at the bottom ...
And lastly we have Aaron being his usual daredevil self ...
Dec 27th ~ Christmas on Georgian Bay. After spending the 25th with the McCrea clan (including the entire Fessey clan too!) we headed up north to see the Clement clan north of Parry Sound. The bay was a good 10inches thick, and against my fears (man, that was hard to get over!) we all went out on the ice. Some of us in boots and some on skates. Aaron just LOVED having the huge area to himself to practice his skating skills for his Saturday night hockey games, and the kids loved it for 15mins until they became frustrated with not being able to skate. That will change once Aaron completes the backyard rink (he's out there right now, emptying our hot water tank). Anyway, here are some great pics. Scenery was pretty breathtaking...
So first we have to somehow transport the kiddies out onto the ice (by the way, that's Don & Dana's grey house behind us)...
Then we all have a blast skating on the ice. And Ethan was pretty amazed at being able to see the dark scary waters when he looked really close at the ice ... bubbles and all!
And then we're all done and ready to go back inside ...

That's it for now. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We'll try to post New Years pics and backyard rink pics soon (not ready yet; still in the works).

Skating on rivers and lakes is just about the only thing I miss about the east. Looks like fun!
