Yes, finally we have sold our home. Not only did we manage to get 98.2% of our asking price, but we only paid about 4% in commissions in the end. Not sure it made all the stress worth it, but certainly helps to make it tolerable. Anyway, the deal was officially done today when we all signed the Inspection and Financing waivers. Closing for this deal will be Friday June 22nd.
Yesterday was an exciting day too, as we closed our Burlington home. We now offically own 2 homes ... okay let's not talk about that. We took the kids out of school/daycare for the day and went to Burlington to meet lawyers, see what Aunt Brenda does for a living, have a nap, go for a tour of the potential (let's hope) daycare, see our new home, tear around the empty house because we've never been in a completely empty house before, make a list of all the work to do, then finally have dinner with Uncle Dan (Aaron's brother) and girlfried Christine who live a mere 3min drive from our new home. A very busy day enjoyed by all! And the only complaint is that we weren't able to locate the remotes for the garage door opener. Not bad. Date for this move will be maybe Wed June 20th.
Now we begin the daunting task of packing. Our upcoming weekends are filling up so quickly, I'm not sure how successful this will be. We're hoping we can transfer much of the not currently needed stuff via the van over the next few weekends ... in theory. We're also squeezing in a much deserved trip to Cuba on May 19th too. Anyway, perhaps in the end we can simply rent a truck for the final furniture. We need to plan for a garage sale next.
Enough ramblings for now - work to do.

Yahoo!!! Congratulations. You have a busy 7 weeks ahead of you but I'm sure you'll handle it. See you in Burlington in September.

Jill -Remember RBC provides a day off for moving. Check this out with your manager.
For a move like that, hire movers. Seriously... It's not that much money, your friends and family will appreciate it, and so will your muscles. Besides, all computer nerds are too weak to lift furniture.
Congrats on the sale.
I concur, Doctor Who.
Yeah for the sale.....ouch for the muscles....good luck & good health in your new home

Paul and I will be there to help any time but I cannot wait until we renovate our house! By "we" I mean Heather, Ted, Jill, Aaron, Paul's sister and her husband - (also moving in June)...it'll be so easy for Paul and I! lol
