Not Sold ... Again

Could someone please remove the "We like to be messed with" sign from our property??? This is getting ridiculous. I don't have much time, so I'll be brief. This time it was the aluminum wiring going from the stove and fro the dryer. We just happened to pick a buyer who had a horrible experience with aluminum wiring a few years back and now has some sort of physical reaction to it (okay, I'm exaggerating). The inspection was fine, with no mention of mould, but the mention of aluminum wiring sent them running. Even when we said we would have it replaced, they continued to run. Similarly, once we replaced the roof the first buyers still backed down. I'm convinced everyone is simply out to mess with our minds. They've succeeded, as I don't think I've ever been quite as stressed as this.

In a nut shell, we're going with a new, local agent and we'll try to start from scratch. Of course there is the nice little extra stress of dealing with the closing of our Burlington home in a week and a half. Too bad I'm nowhere near excited.

What a drag! Here in BC aluminum wire is still code for 240V circuits which is what the stove and dryer would be.

If it's only 2 runs, then it might not be that hard to replace, although, DAMN that copper cable is $$$$.

Your luck with this house definitely sucks.Hope it turns 'round for you.

Wow - keep at it. You're just closing in on the average listing time, and we felt the same way.

Our aluminum wiring in the new place is costing 2500, not to replace, but just to properly terminate. Oy vey!
