Christmas Evergreen Sacrifice

It was a fine day to celebrate the birth of some guy a couple of thousand years ago with the ritualistic sacrifice of an evergreen. Oh, and the Brunts were there too.

In past years it has been so cold and snowy that we just took a pre-cut tree from the front of the tree farm, but this year's weather permitted us to walk most of the farm. The grass is always greener on the other side, and the Christmas tree on the other side of the hill always looks better until you get there, discover that it is lopsided, then forget where the last perfect tree went to that you just left behind.

All in all a great day for a walk with all the kiddies (Ethan, Emma, Connor and Paige). No one was lost (for long), and the boys helped their Dads' cut down their family's trees.

We'll put up some pics once I locate the camera...
