The Move Is Finally Complete

The final chapter of our move to Burlington (yes, last June) is now complete. To Ethan's relief, we managed to get the basement completed just in time for the cold weather. Ethan would remind us on a weekly, if not more frequent, basis that we better get to work on the basement before the snow comes. Here are the 'before' shots ...

The basement was already nicely finished when we moved in, but then it was overcome by our "junk" and also needed some builtins for storage. A not so quick trip to IKEA solved that problem and we now officially live in an IKEA house, but we think it looks great so it doesn't bother us.

The builtins were finished probably 2 weeks ago and then we went back to the madness (IKEA) again to purchase a couch. It came with a cover that resembles fur and the kids can't get enough of it. Anyway, we did the final setup today and now it's done. Here are the 'after' shots ... (note this 1st photo is the match to the 'before' first photo)

Time for Aaron to move on to the next project! After he finishes getting the Xmas lights up of course.

Congratulations! It looks great and now your boxes are all unpacked. I'm sure the kids will love to play in the area. The built-ins are really nice with the smokey glass fronts. What's the next project?

Aaron will enjoy those nights on the furry couch.

You are ahead of us. Three years, and we still have stuff to do in the basement.

Love the green, too!

Marilyn - next project is to build a skating rink in the backyard! He has the boards up, and PLENTY of research done on the internet. Will be posting pics soon ...
